pics

I just can't resist putting cute kittens on here. We're down to 3 now. Mom sold Josh and Jerry and we still have Reo, Myrrh[gatroid], and Lily (who Grant has claimed for his own). Myrrh is holding Lily's head while she sleeps.

This is Reo. He looks the most like Solomon. He has an umbilical hernia, so he was always the male I could tell apart from the others.

A 10-foot U-Haul truck was the perfect size to move all of my stuff to Tennessee. After this week alone, I'll have more stuff than will fit back in there! I'm having a washer & dryer delivered tomorrow.

Here's a family shot in front of the truck. Too bad you can't actually see us because of the high-contrast shadows & sunlight on our faces! It's ok, we were all hot and gross anyway.

Here's one of my drive-by pictures from the move!

new job

Well, I'm pretty much moved in. I still don't have much in the living room (just a couple of little tables and a TV). The bedroom looks the most set up, but my clothes aren't all put away yet. I finally found the hardware to put my desk together and got it set up last night. The kitchen table is still a mess with lots of papers that need filed or thrown away.

I'm finally at work at my desk. I have already had a couple of run-ins with the Internet/Highland's network. I'm still not sure how it all works. It was much easier at MPA where we had our own e-mail and web servers. I need all of the shortcuts that are on the desktop from Salli's account, but can't get to the Internet that way. Hmm.

I'll try to bring some moving pics over on my thumb drive this afternoon. I haven't taken any of the apartment now that my stuff is in there. I want to wait until it looks clean.

Well, that's all from me for right now. I'll be here for awhile trying to figure out why the website isn't working! Pray for it and me!

i'm still here!

Well, tomorrow I have to head home. It's kind of funny that my last day here will be my day off for this week. I'm not even sure that they should have given me one at all, since I'm missing Sabbath anyway. Here are some pics from the last couple of weeks.
Believe it or not, Stephanie and I have gotten out of the office once or twice to take some personal time floating in the ool (notice there is no "p" in it; we'd like to keep it that way). A fight in the shallow end followed shortly after this picture was taken. Grace did a good job documenting it, but you don't need to see all of those pictures. ; )

Fords and Heilmans came to visit last weekend. People kept talking to Jaclyn like she was Stephanie, as usual.

This was the longest I've gone without seeing Jaclyn in a while. I guess I'm going to have to get used to that.
Stephanie was nice enough to take pictures of me barrel racing at the Ranger Rick's Wild West Show & Congress of Rough Riders of the World. The staff member with the fastest time for the summer gets a belt buckle. I think it will be Roxanne. She did really well last night.

from heat to rain

We are having one of the rainiest days I've seen here at camp. I'm not sure we made it out of the 60s today, much to the boat drivers' dismay. I just feel bad for the campers who want to be out in the heat playing in the water. Instead, we have to watch for hypothermia!

I just wanted to post a couple of pictures. I had to finally erase my whole memory card because I filled up except for 10 pictures. So, I have a little under 500 pics on my computer already from the first 1 1/2 weeks of camp!

Taking our staff picture was interesting. We have close to 80 people and had to get a few wagons and horses into the mix too. I hope the "official" pic is really good. Good thing Lucy suggested taking this one at the barn!

Our Internet is kind of iffy. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. E-mails aren't going to come very often, I'm afraid. One of our biggest problems is just getting enough computer time to register campers! And we need more campers!
