playing catch-up
Somehow, it feels like we're in second semester instead of at the midterm of the first quarter. I don't know when I've been more ready for a home leave. It might just be because of the 12-hour Ad Council I was in yesterday, but I'm surely ready for a couple of days off!
I know I've updated my blog since school had started, but it seems like some stuff was missing. Here's my attempt to fill you in on the last couple of weeks, at least. Maybe once I find my CF card, I'll update you on our trip to Collegedale in August.
I just thought these pictures of Chadd and Nikie giving us a golf cart lift to the church were kinda funny. Carson loves riding on the cart. I don't think he understood why I was taking pictures of us though.
One of my duties as Asst. SA herder, I mean sponsor, was to help brainstorm ideas for the Icebreaker. I was quick to add my idea from a book I read while working at MPA about throwing cheese puffs at a team member's face while it's covered in peanut butter. Great idea, right? We substituted the cheese puffs for goldfish, but the effect is still spectacular. (Please, click on the pictures!
The next weekend of my life was not documented because I really don't think you want to see me throwing up. Enough said. I missed one of my favorite weekends though, class-on-class softball and the fall picnic at ICC. :(
This last Sabbath was fun (and a great improvement over the previous one). After church, we came home and relaxed a while before making lasagna, then banana bread, then whatever else Ryan came up with.
I feel like I'm saying "finally" a lot, as if we've been here forever waiting to feel moved in. On some levels this is true, however, with school starting and everything else going on I don't feel that bad. The fact that our mirror was hung a month after the furniture arrived isn't that bad, right? ;)

I love the peanut butter and fish thing. that's just brilliant. messy but brilliant. I'm gonna use that someday if they'll let me.
Your house looks lovely. It's fun getting settled and it doesn't happen all at once. Wonder if we will ever get your way?
