office blog
You know it's a slow day at work when you have time to update your blog in the middle of the morning. Don's driving the '90 IH bus for the elementary school's field trip to Nashville. The junior class, along with Steve, Nikie, Anita, and John, left for the Junior History Trip this morning. They'll stop in Washington D.C., New York, and Boston on their way up the coast. They come back at the end of our October break.
We lost our last softball game last night. Most of our players were juniors getting ready for the trip, so they didn't show up. I hit a triple and an almost home run (got tagged out at home b/c I didn't slide - AMAZING). It was fun because the game was pretty close. We played the team that is mostly staff. Now it's on to Hawaiian-rules flagball.
I'm on duty this weekend, so I have to be around for all of the events. I'm not even sure what's happening, which isn't good because I publish the schedule. With the juniors gone, we'll probably take the rest of the school off campus on Saturday night to do something fun. We're lucky to have two staff on our team with CDLs, so we can take 2 buses if we need to. I hope we come up with something more fun than open rec., because I already have to sit in the gym on Sunday night from 5-9ish for rec. and volleyball practice afterward.
Well, I'm gonna attempt to accomplish something before band starts at 11:30. I'm hoping my picture I ordered from art.com comes in the mail today so I can put it up in my office after I mat and frame it.
